Independence Day Parade & Picnic
The patriotic procession down German St. in Shepherdstown begins at 11 am, followed by a picnic at Morgan’s Grove Park pavilion, noon to 3:30 pm.
July 14
Community Pary
The quarterly party at the train staion is an all around good time. This time up: The Outpatients perform.
Bring a dish and the kids, plus $10 per adult to cover beer and the band.

1, An Evening Celebrating Young Artists. The Dane Galloway Jazz Trio, SU student Kipyn Martin, father & son Eric and Logan Hughes, and brothers Brandon & Andrew Smith. Dane Galloway, of Frederick, Maryland, is still a high school student, and he’s making waves in the world of Jazz. 
15, Robbin Thompson. One man, one guitar & one of the most distinctive voices around!  Former Springsteen Bandmate has shared the stage with Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash...just to name a few. For info: robbinthompson.com.

Theater and Dance

July 4–29
Contemporary American Theater Festival
Now in its 16th season having produced more than 60 plays and 20-something world premieres. Four plays in repertory.

July 13–20
Goose Route Dance Festival
Now a Shepherdstown fixture in its 7th season, with dancers from NYC, Philly, and the Mountain State, including Shepherdstown. And there are performances and classes—family events, too.
Performances: Saturday, July 14 at  6 pm, Sunday, July 15 at 4 pm, Saturday, July 21 at 6 pm, and Sunday, July 22 at 4 pm.  General admission for performances is $12 before July 6 and $15 after July 6; the senior/student rate is $10 before July 6 and $12 after July 6.  Tickets: 876-6751, gooseroute.org, or at the door.
