The Jefferson County Commission has announced the dates of public meetings to solicit comments on the county’s draft zoning and subdivision ordinances. Hard copies of the plan are available at county public libraries (Charles Town, South Jefferson, Shepherdstown, Bolivar-Harpers Ferry, and Shepherd University), in the county clerk’s office at the county courthouse, and at the county commission office at 124 East Washington St., Charles Town. Copies of the drafts will be available for purchase at the planning and zoning department at 104 East Washington St. in Charles Town $20.00.

Shepherdstown District: Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 7pm at the War Memorial Building, Shepherdstown Men's Club, upstairs meeting room, 102 East German Street.

Kabletown District: Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 7pm at South Jefferson Elementary School in the Cafeteria, 4599 Summit Point Road.

Harpers Ferry District: Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 7pm at C.W. Shipley Elementary School in the Gymnasium, 652 Shipley School Road.

Middleway District: Monday, December 10, 2007 at 7pm at Country Day School in the Library, 449 Ross Hill Drive.

Charles Town District: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 7pm at Blue Ridge Elementary School in the Cafeteria, 18866 Charles Town Road.

Charles Town District: Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10am at the County Meeting Room, Charles Town Library, 200 East Washington Street, side entrance.
